The pair of Liberators are converting a G.703 circuit into two channelised or structured fractional G.704 FE1 ports for use by DTEs.
The G.703 circuit is converted into a fractional G.704 E1 and a fractional PRI interface, for use by perhaps a PABX or videoconference unit.
A PRI presentation at each of the three sites means each PRI DTE can dial the other two locations. Instead of presenting PRI the Liberators could deliver G.704 with the DTEs having channelised FE1s to both remote locations.
PRI and BRI are presented at all locations with each ISDN device having dialled access to any other in the network, creating a private ISDN network or “cloud”.

Patapsco’s Liberator can be configured as a traditional G.704 drop and insert mux or multiplexer. It’s flexibility means the drop and insert capabilities can be extended to include switched ISDN PRI and BRI ports.
