For PRI to BRI and ISDN sharing, conversion and isdn simulation or simulator applications and where the 3 PRIs and 16 BRIs of the Liberator are not adequate. The DB120 P2B platform offers similar functionality to the Liberator but with higher PRI and BRI capacity.

Based on the modular DB120 mid-plane chassis system with its range of cards for a variety of applications, the P2B is a package which is tailored for the PRI to BRI converter, conversion and emulation market. Other configurations for this flexible chassis are available and these include ISDN backup.

The chassis is just 3U high and has the option for:

• Dual load-sharing AC or DC PSUs
• Support for multiple dual-port PRI cards
• PRI cards support NT and TE operation with power-failure relay options
• Support for multiple quad-port BRI cards
• BRI cards are available for both NT and TE “S” operation.
• Full cross-connection
• Excellent management system

As an illustration, the DB120 is able to support four PRI ports and simultaneously up to 48 BRIs (96 “B”) or two PRIs and 52 BRI.

All cards are “hot-swappable” and any port on any card can connect through or to any other port on any other card. It is very simple to configure and to add additional cards when required.
