Established in 1989 and based in the U. K., Patapsco
Communications is a Private Limited Company which has developed a sophisticated
and comprehensive range of manageable products for larger corporate users
and carrier/PTTs.
Products tend to have an ISDN orientation, although there are exceptions.
A sophisticated but simple-to-use Carrier-grade management system supports
all platforms. It is usable for just a few network devices to many thousands
and supports multiple simultaneous work stations and operators in "real-time".
Core ISDN skills include various protocol stacks for network and user presentation,
but in particular we excel at high speed aggregation where multiple ISDN "B"
channels are dialled and built (or "bonded") together. The aggregation compensates
for clocking and delay issues, to present high speed clear N*64kbps circuits
to all types of DTE equipment, in just a few seconds.
The product range includes small cost-effective remote site units and a flexible
chassis that supports multiple applications. The chassis provides our customers
with a very compact, resilient and adaptable platform which gives complete
cross-connectivity from/to all cards within the chassis. Hardware and software,
all of which is designed and supported in-house, are both very modular.
Software is written in C++ and the modular approach to hardware means we
can customise and develop products to meet a specific requirement or market
discrete modules, simply and quickly. Customers include some of the world's
largest carrier/PTTs, mobile telephone and commercial organisations, smaller
telecoms operators, commercial companies and organisations in specific vertical
markets.
Products are delivered world-wide and supported directly by Patapsco and via
our established Partners in various countries across the globe. Various support
programs are available as is training, on-site and telephone assistance.
