Liberator can be used as a simple Drop and Insert multiplexer with three E1, fractional E1 or PRI ports, right though to a switching and sharing mux, with the option to route and present BRI and PRI ISDN ports.
The Databand DB120 chassis system supports more ports and interfaces and can act as a hub for remote Liberators.

Liberator will:

  • Share a G.703 or channelised G.704 trunk between two local DTEs
  • Be used to build simple G.703/4 networks
  • Be connected to ISDN PRI networks
  • Turn a G.703/4 non-switched link into a switched circuit (as illustrated) which:
     -Provides switching across a non-switched
     -Means ISDN devices can access each other across the leased line    network

     -Gives ISDN devices on one site access to ISDN PRI on another
     -Non-switched DTEs have “nailed” services established for them
  • Present local BRI ports which
     -Give switched access to other BRI devices on the network
     -Give access to the ISDN network via a PRI interface
  • Change configurations and access to resources on a time-of-day basis
  • Be managed and configured quickly and simply
  • Communicate with Databand DB120’s for larger networks
  • Create aggregated data channels at speeds up to 2Mbps by connecting to other products in the Databand family
  • Reduce network costs by sharing links
