Any of the 3 PRI ports can be configured as either a switched ISDN interface or a G.703/4 or T1 non-switched leased line presentation.

When used as PRI ports, one port is always NT presentation (looks like a network), one is TE (looks like a customer-premise device and connects to a TE or network interface) and one is switchable.

The NT and TE port are Power Failure Relay Protected.

If a single PRI version is ordered, the switchable interface is enabled.

If a dual PRI version is purchased, it can be ordered with the fixed NT and TE interfaces as they are Power Failure Relay Protected, with two NT presentations or with two TE presentations.

If the units are not shipped with the correct ports enabled, or requirements change, the interfaces can be altered remotely so there is not really a problem if they do need to be changed.
